Using unreleased github build

To use an unreleased github build I've followed the steps in this section of the wiki. When trying to add the local maven file to the gradle file using 0.1.0-alpha01-build_123 (as mentioned in the aforementioned section) doesn't work. What works in simply0.1.0-alpha01. Can someone else confirm this?

For example
com.google.android.fhir:engine:0.1.0-alpha01-build_123 does not work
but com.google.android.fhir:engine:0.1.0-alpha01 does
