unzipping markers.gz

I am working on a server without any ability to download markers.gz when running it for the first time. I have gotten markers.gz into the appropriate place, but when unzipping it through a variety of methods I always end up with gzip: markers.gz: unexpected end of file (or something similar depending on the method I tried). The markers directory will then exist, but no ncbi directory, causing a failure when you run phylosift.

Any suggestions, or are there issues with this file?
