The new palette is not as good as the previous one, me and my colourblind colleagues were very happy with the another one, this is less clear than the other

The update was intended to make the theme more extensible, and any colorblind-friendly palette can be mapped onto any workbench base using the provided script.

It's actually significantly more true to Paul Tol's schema, previously colors were more or less arbitrarily picked and often tweaked by me.

Are there any specific tokens/styles you have noticed got worse?

In the mean time, v1 is still available in /packages!

I concur, much preferred V1. Nonetheless V1 install worked for me. To install for VSCode:

  1. Click on the Extensions view icon on the Sidebar (or press Ctrl+Shift+X to open it).
  2. Click on the ... More Actions menu at the top of the Extensions view, on the right side.
  3. From the dropdown, select Install from VSIX....
  4. Navigate to the .vsix file and click Open.
