Motivation

Our main source-of-truth and storage for the observability platform is the gitops repositories. But at this stage this means that also our main touchpoint to change anything in the observability platform is a repository. This is okay for platform teams, but since not just platform teams want to at least create dashboards, but also app teams and we can not expect app teams to have the same level of understanding of gitops or even the access to those wired up repositories, we need to find a new way on how we can provide a better touchpoint for them - in the best possible way just leveraging the Grafana UI.
