I am buying an album on Mirlo, but found no information about which codecs the music is available in.
For me, and I imagine a lot of other music lovers, this is a crucial piece of information to have before actually committing to purchasing an album.
I contacted the artist directly and asked, and he was pretty sure the music was available in FLAC, so I'll go right ahead an buy his album. But I do think it would help sales if this information was easily available before actually paying.

Yeah, to just answer your question, we require that artists upload music in lossless format (wav and flac are fine) and then make downloads available in wav, flac, mp3@320kbs, mp3@256, mp3@128.
But we could definitely add that to the "buy" pop up.
Not only to the pop-up, but also to the album page itself. To use Bandcamp as an example; they give quite detailed information about formats and quality right up front, under the "Digital album" section. Most buyers care about this information and expects to find it easily.
On a related note; when I had bought the album, opened the link in the email and selected the format to download in (FLAC), the progress spinner started and nothing happened for ~30 seconds. Then the download pop-up disappeared abruptly and I was back to the main download page without any error or explanation. I repeated this step 3 times before the download finally started. Not sure why this happened, but there is room for improving the UX :)
Great service by the way, and I love that I can interact with you through your code forge and contribute with feedback directly, not through some inaccessible support desk!
