Update for F-Droid and incorrect update from Google Play app store. #379
Comments
Thew new update should be detected and pulled into F-Droid soon. |
Okay but why is freeotp showing update in Google Play app store? I have the F-Droid version. |
I suppose Android application id is the same for F-Droid and Play Store. Consequently, as a newer version is available from Play Store, the update is just proposed. Once you will install 2.0.3 from F-Droid it should be OK. |
I got update on F-Droid. The other issue of the update appearing in Google Play app store, when update out for freeotop. Will this be resolved? It is kind of annoying when I just updates apps from Google Play app store only and I have to make I do not allow the Google Play app store version to replace F-Droid version. Edited |
Both F-Droid and Google Play store have version 2.0.3, I'm not sure why your device thinks a more recent version is available on either. |
I was able to update to latest F-Droid version 2.0.3 and that is fine. I just do not want the update for freeotop to appear in the Google Play app store, when the next version after 2.0.3 is released. I am assuming this will happen, since I got update notification of Google Play app store version of freeotp and it stayed this way until the update hit F-Droid and I updated. |
Is the 2.0.3 update out for F-Droid?
Also I got notified about update from Google Play app store version of the even though I installed the F-Droid version.
The update is available in Google Play store. I do not know why it is doing this.
