You can use Robot station to determine your alliance color and automatically invert the autonomous in path planner since this year's game is asymmetrical.

How is the testing procedure going to work, do we just have a drop-down in shuffleboard that let's us select the alliance and the position or is it done through the settings sub-menu in the driverstation when we're not connected to the FMS.
