I don't want someone's first experience to be "Now go make a GitHub account to tell me you can't login" Being able to send an email to report a problem is key. |
Would be nice to have an email-to-issue thinger, but I understand! |
Well, I think the problem would be sensitive emails being leaked to the issue tracker. I've already had to delete people's phone numbers from issues when they reply via email. I fixed the bug on the wiki.libre.fm redirect, so I can fix up that text a little now. |

Welcome to Libre.fm. I'm Matt, the founder of Libre.fm and I want to take a moment to welcome you.
We have over 370,000 users on Libre.fm and I'm glad you're here.
Libre.fm is all about capturing the songs you listen to and providing
you with a profile for your listening data. We call this "scrobbling"
after Audioscrobbler, the precursor to the modern day Last FM.
If you're new to scrobbling, I suggest Web Scrobbler or DeaDBeeF as
first steps. See https://wiki.libre.fm and click on Clients.
Web Scrobbler works across music services that run in your browser,
while DeaDBeeF plays music you already have on your computer.
If you're using Spotify, Apple Music on the Web or other music sites
such as YouTube Music, Web Scrobbler is a great way to get started.
There are lots of clients that support Libre.fm in some manner, you
can find a list of them at https://github.com/foocorp/hacienda/wiki/Clients
If you're on the social web using Mastodon, you can add a link to your
social profile on your Libre.fm profile and get verified. Give it a
go! See our weekly blog update for new features and updates:
https://blog.libre.fm/
If you have any further questions, please reply to this email, but
bear in mind I'm the only person answering emails so I may be a little
slow to respond, especially at weekends.
Best,
matt
