This is cause when the checker is enabled in your lazy.nvim config. You should remove the |

There is not one set way of doing things; it is really is up to you.
If you still want to have it automatically check for plugins without notifications you can do
I would suggest though if you are new to Neovim/lazy.nvim to skim over the documentation. Most of the answers to your questions in the beginning will be in there.
