Lazy.nvim can't work with --noplugin

I'm using nvim -u NONE -s MYVIMRC to reduce the built-in plugin loading.
and -u NONE will auto-enable the --noplugin but lazy doesn't work in this case.

I tried to source vim.cmd "luafile /home/nex/.local/share/nvim/lazy/lazy.nvim/lua/lazy/init.lua"manually but still doesn't work

Are you being serious here? Of course it doesn't work when you specify --noplugin. That literally instructs Neovim or lazy in this case to not load any plugins!

Understand that lazy disables Neovim plugin loading internally anyway, so this doesn't do a single thing.

Well obviously, since doing it in a defer, you only measure startup BEFORE loading anything. That just makes zero sense

You're pretty much measuring the startuptime of nvim --clean!

Definitely, you're right. Anyway the point was not to have a faster startup time, I was just playing around.

To add to all of this, lazy takes over all sourcing of runtime files. See here

You both really don't understand anything about how lazy works and even less about the internals of Neovim.

Lazy also comes with byte-compilation and a much faster module path resolver than the default one in Neovim. If you don't load lazy as soon as you can, you're losing out on all that performance gain for the files you're requiring before lazy.

The path resolver is active even when the cache is disabled, since it makes no sense to use the default resolver that is over 10x slower.

Disabling cache also makes no sense obviously.
