Similar issue as in #61:
when Okular tries to open CBR file, it gives an error.

I opens fine CBZ.

Using Fedora Kinoite 40 here, I have the same issue. CBZ are fine, CBR are not opening. Flatpak 24.02.0.

We still have unarchiver in the manifest so something else is missing: https://github.com/flathub/org.kde.okular/blob/master/org.kde.okular.json#L74

Providing logs or an example file that does not work would help.

Okular does not produce any readable log related to unar, just a bare error message.

Is there a way to pass this to someone competent? It's a shame that I cannot read comics with KDE software.

Please don't be rude.

Do you think insulting people that is doing work [for free] for you is a good idea and will get your request prioritized?

According to Merriam-Webster dictionary, competent means "having requisite or adequate ability or qualities". I am not trying to offend, and don't understand your reply.

I am able to read comics on Okular anyway, by converting CBR to CBZ. Or even using a different software, like MComix. This is not about me.

Simply I see bug reports on Bugzilla from months/years ago that went unanswered, and I don't have the skill to help in this.

Please link to a legal example file that can be used to test.
