Happens on: Chrome Version 56.0.2924.76 (64-bit) on Linux (CentOS 6.8).
Doesn't happen on Firefox on the same machine.
Doesn't happen on same Chrome version on Windows.

In plunkr editor on linux chrome (53 and 54 versions) there is strange cursor padding.
E.g. a string:
If i place cursor to the end of this string it will be:
Instead of:
Another example, we have cursor positioned like:
And if I press backspace it will delete
j
symbol instead ofp
.May be it some kind of fonts or rendering bug, but I haven't experienced such issue on any other website.
PS: it's retina display and chrome device scale factor is set to 1.6.
