Description

Rimusic currently lacks some key features that are available on Spotify, which could enhance user engagement and functionality. Incorporating these features will improve the overall experience and make Rimusic more competitive.

Key Features to Consider:

  1. Collaborative Playlists: Allow users to create and manage playlists collaboratively with others.

  2. Lyrics Synchronization: While Rimusic has lyrics support, adding synced lyrics like Spotify would be an excellent improvement.

  3. Cross-Platform Playback Sync: Enable seamless switching between devices with continuous playback.

  4. Dynamic Recommendations: Include personalized recommendations based on user preferences and listening history.

  5. Spotify Connect Equivalent: Introduce a feature for controlling playback on other devices through Rimusic.

Suggested Solution

  1. Collaborative Playlists: Introduce real-time playlist editing with options to invite friends.

  2. Synchronized Lyrics: Integrate lyrics synchronization using a timestamp-based system.

  3. Cross-Platform Sync: Build cloud sync functionality to maintain playback status across devices.

  4. Dynamic Recommendations: Use machine learning models to generate playlists tailored to users.

  5. Device Control: Create a device pairing system to allow users to manage playback remotely.

Alternatives

If implementing all features is not feasible, focus on prioritised ones:

  1. Start with synchronized lyrics and cross-platform sync.

  2. Implement collaborative playlists in later updates.

  3. Use simpler algorithms for recommendations initially.

Additional Context

Rimusic already has a strong foundation, including its offline playback mode and support for third-party equalizers. These additions would further diversify its capabilities while keeping the user base engaged.

First, RiMusic isn't Spotify, isn't a business society but a simple app developed for passion. So before you say that it lacks functionality I invite you to think better.

Thank you for your response 🙏.
I truly respect the dedication that goes into creating such apps. My intention was not to criticize but to provide feedback that might help improve the user experience. I understand that RiMusic is not a commercial platform like Spotify, and I appreciate its uniqueness. I'll certainly keep your point in mind when sharing feedback in the future.
