Currently, when Fancybox clicks on an image, if the image is too large or the network speed is very slow, there will be a long black screen, which is a bad experience, as shown in the video below.

It can be modified to display the thumbnail first after clicking the image, and then display the large image after the large image is loaded. This will look more comfortable, as shown in the video below.

Open Fancybox and display thumbnails first, then load the large image after the large image is loaded.

Thanks for the suggestion. You see, previous versions worked as you described, but quite a few people asked to remove this feature because users were confused about why the image was opening in poor quality. However, it could be implemented as an option.
