Primary school children lack basic music skills

• Heavy emphasis on Maths and English in certain years means children miss out on a lot of the creative subjects
• School budgets are getting smaller and smaller and arts subjects are getting even less money and time allocated
• Teachers might not have confidence or knowledge of even basic concepts
• Lack of teacher confidence to deliver lessons prevents skills being taught effectively
• Resources are often dry and uninspiring
• Learning music should be fun!
