PROBLEM: elderly people in the community are often lonely

We could explore ideas of how we can get elderly people less lonely.

Potential solutions:

• a 'coffee date' app to match older people with younger people who have free time
• an app that shows community events in the area and encourages elderly people to attend them, knowing they are more open and friendly events
• a chat bot to talk to elderly people when they're lonely
• a 'tamagotchi'-like digital 'pet' to take care of to help give them less loneliness and something to look after

Challenges:

• anything we make will have to be incredibly simple and accessible because older people will be using it
• at the same time, we want it to be beautifully designed so younger people will want to use it
• ??? sure we'll find plenty in our brainstorm 😊
