Please take a look and try to reduce cyclomatix complexity for the following functions:

src/graph_populator.py
    M 106:4 GraphPopulator.construct_version_query - E (34)
    M 272:4 GraphPopulator.construct_package_query - D (27)

2 blocks (classes, functions, methods) analyzed.
Average complexity: E (30.5)
