Using the "export project" feature with unsaved changes causes the changes not to be exported – so what you see is not what you get. Instead, what you get is whatever is stored in the project directory.
I find this behavior very confusing and, having managed to lose work multiple times now (apparently I don't learn :D), I feel that this behavior should change: When exporting a project, HAL should either automatically save first, or at least warn the user and give them the option to commit any unsaved changes before exporting.
Rant over, and happy holidays!
