Library thing or goodreads alternatives

Hi all,
We have been very fans of book-catalogue for a long time, now. The app is really fantastic.
My girlfriend has recently updated her version to the 6.0.6-distplay and I noticed the disappearance of the certificates for Goodreads and library thing. I read these APIs have been removed (#874), but is there any alternative to these databases, as the researches are highly impacted by this, in my opinion.
On my mobile, I still have the version 5.3.0.4 and i still have the valid certificates. Would it work if we install a previous version, then?

Same issue,additional question: is this related to the Google restrictions mentioned when I opened the app?
