when you right-click on a file, the menu appears behind the Dock.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. open Files and position it next to the Dock
  2. right-click on a file
  3. the menu will appear behind the Dock.

For me, this only happens under certain circumstances on OS8

  • Wayland (Secure) session
  • Low resolution screen so that the context menu height is greater than half the screen height so tends to open downwards
  • The Dock hide setting is either "When the focused window is maximised" or "When the focused window overlaps the dock". For other settings either the dock hides or the menu does not overlap it.

It does not happen on an X session or on OS7.1

Yes, that's my case.
The screen resolution on my notebook is low 1366x768;

I also have elementary 7.1 installed on the same machine, but it doesn't happen.
