Darktable, Rawtherapee, Digikam are extremely complicated programs with terrible interfaces.
I propose to make complying with elementary OS HIG, but functional RAW converter. An example for inspiration is Lightroom WEB. It has quite a lot of knobs, but has accurate interface and is understandable for beginners.
Maybe it's an idea to improve Photos, maybe to create a new app.
