Steps to reproduce

Install latest element version. no ringing with own ntfy server
Go back to Element 1.5.28 --> phone rings with own ntfy server

Outcome

I know opening a new issue for a already open one is not cool, but people are having issues for months/years now, not only here in github, and I also know current Element is in Maintenance mode, but I would again pls ask the devs to fix the calling bug with current element version when using a own ntfy server.

Ive gathered some infos here, found out that a downgrade fixes the issue.

My issue where I gathered some infos:

#8761

Issue with the downgrade shows it fixes the bug:

#7690

I beg you guys to pls have a look on this again. Maintenance Mode could also mean to fix current broke funtions that are actually quiet essential. We dont want to use googles push, and we dont want to install such old versions with security vulnerabilities

no one of the devs and contributors are still losing a single word about the problem. I guess, element-hq doesnt want element android to work with self hosted push instance. Some contracts with google out there? Thats the only reason why this topic is just ignored so heavily by this project.
