The Skynet network model has several distinct layers:

  • content
  • services
  • sensors
  • connectivity
  • hardware

CONTENT refer to what have been created in the network.

SERVICES refer to the various functionalities available in the network.

SENSORS refer to data capture mechanisms in the network.

CONNECTIVITY refer to the conventional sense of networking.

HARDWARE refer to the actual physical components of the network.

One important distinction here is on CONTENT. We might still have some contents that are counted as SERVICES as they are static and come with the network, rather than being created by the users.
