Was looking something like this a while ago but didn't find much. There is Kentaro Tanida's digital clock screensaver which is somewhat similar - nice but quite limited. Now the ugly part - my ideas of how YOUR software should look like... :P Anyway, I already like it a lot, these are just some ideas that popped to my head.

• Configurable location of the clock - left-right, top-bottom, corners (9 radio buttons?), maybe randomize/rotate at startup (to prevent burn-in).
• Selection for user image (or folder) for background (would love to have a very dim city scene in the background!).
• Option to show date, with configurable format and separator (user could enter d.m.y, m-d-y etc).
