Suggestion to make the setup faster

Hi Fabian,

We have been using PACEtomo for a while and I am happy to say that now the time spent setting up targets is becoming significant compared to the collection time.

I was wondering what do you think about these 2 suggestions:

1. is there a way to add another key to the 'b' for accepting the result? Like 'p' for another preview? It would be very useful if we could move around more than once to refine the position of the target.
2. Is there a way to take all the view mags and then go look at all the previews? (at least on the points that are already there). We find that there is a lot of time is spent waiting for normalization when magnification changes.

Thanks for your feedback!

1. Could you clarify what step you mean? Are you using guidance = False? You should be able to move around in the Preview stage more than once by hitting b and right afterwards r.

2. That is a good idea. I could implement an additional option, that would allow you to stay in Preview if you run it on a preselected group of points. Is that what you imagined?
   (However, the first point would still have to take a View image for the realignment routine.)

Hi,

1. I am using guidance=True. so if I have a preview I can refine once, but if i press b the "do you want to refine won't show up again. Is b+r a shortcut for another preview before adding a new map?
2. Yes that would be great. I think still having the first point is a good idea since there are sometimes shifts that need to be taken care of.

Thanks for the additional info!

1. Are you using v1.8+? Since 1.8 it should be possible to refine at the Preview stage however much you want. The b + r only works when you set guidance = False, which omits most pop-up boxes to make target setup more streamlined (it takes some practice though since there are time windows for pressing certain short cuts like the r described above).
2. I'm not sure when I'll get around to it but I put it on my todo list.
