The latest nightly installers should use the older provider implementation by default.

It would be awesome if you could confirm that this installer works for you in your network environment. Tomorrow I will build Oomph's m3 milestone which will be the same as the currently nightly installer...

@merks : I did two things:
1st: download the nightly build of eclipse installer as suggested above. And I can state that for our environment it works again.
Thanks a lot for your support!
2nd: I also downloaded what you suggested here issue #76
With P2, ECF and Oomph products installed.
Question is do you still need that I do tests with the update site you provided or is that no longer necesarry with the provided nightly build?

Sorry again for my late answer. I am very busy at the moment but give my best to test as soon as possible.
