It would be good if we had an EU Tracker API.

Realise this can't be a priority ASAP but making an issue for future prioritisation discussions.

Why? Would be handy to understand the use case.

An API might actually be overcomplicating it, but speaking with sponsors especially at the DIA conference, people would like a way to easily download the per-trial data (say from a given sponsor).

I could think of ways this would be good for me as well. Currently, you would just have to copy and paste.

"per-trial" data means...?

What data is there which isn't available in the CSVs at https://github.com/ebmdatalab/euctr-tracker-data? We could just link to those?

Basically what we offer for the FDAAA tracker. If I'm Sponsor A, and I want a CSV of all my overdue trials, it would be helpful if we could offer a download for that.

The data goes through a bit of processing between the GitHub and showing up on the website. Most notably being organised by sponsor normalisation. Just downloading trials.csv doesn't actually allow you just do a sort and see all the trials we assign to you on the website because the trial sponsor names aren't normalized. I suppose someone could work with the normalization file to make the connections but that's not particularly practical for most users. I think from a user-friendly point of view, giving people access to that processed data would be good.

We also have the convenient labels for things like types of inconsistent data on the website. While we offer columns for that in trials.csv, I think it's a bit easier to understand if just just allow them to essentially download a spreadsheet of exactly what they are seeing on the website. Trials.csv similarly has a bunch of data they don't need.

The email today from a company is a good indication of what the ability to download the data directly from a sponsor page could offer to users.

We have reviewed the information on the website below on the Eudract trial information.

We are interested in the about XX clinical ([Company Name]) trials that are “inconsistent” or “not reported” to correct the information on the Eudract website.

Is it possible to provide us a list / excel file of the identified trials with all the information for further processing?

We've not gotten a few more requests for the ability to easily DL the tables from the website in a CSV or other spreadsheet format.
