It just occurred to me that it is strange that we don't have a quick access to the exist log file from within monex. This could help with quick diagnosis from a distance, without having to jump through the hoop of setting up remote console, etc.
The left bar with "Monitoring local", "Profiling", "Indexes", … seems the natural place for another entry, that opens the log file in the browser/ or to download a copy.

Thoughts?

I like the idea. The socket-based approach used for the monex remote console pane could perhaps be used to show exist.log (and/or other log files), but is beyond my capabilities. I did find a ready-made solution: https://github.com/mthenw/frontail. A couple of others here: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/4078352/web-implementation-of-tail-f-filename. If you're interested would you like to have a go at one of these and report back on your findings?

Looks promising, it might be a while before I get around to it, but I ll see what I can come up with.
