Hi thanks for the code, great tool. Can I just check I am hoping to use this to calculate SPI for future climate projections using the SPI factor calculated from a historic baseline period. Is this possible with this code?

I didn't know if this was better in Issues or discussions please feel free to delete as appropriate.

I need this feature too and I am going to implement it in my fork.

I can submit a PR here with my changes once I'm done if you are OK with this @e-baumer.
