Push notifications not working for filled orders #200

I've been using the dYdX Android beta app, and I've noticed that I'm not receiving any push notifications when my orders are filled.

This is happening despite having enabled push notifications both within the app settings and in the Android system settings for the dYdX app.

Here's what I've experienced:

  1. I have push notifications enabled in the dYdX app settings.
  2. I've granted all necessary permissions for the dYdX app in my Android system settings, including allowing notifications.
  3. I've placed several orders (limit orders).
  4. When these orders are filled, I don't receive any push notifications on my device.
  5. I've verified that other apps on my phone are receiving push notifications correctly, so it seems to be specific to the dYdX app.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Install the dYdX Android beta app
  2. Enable push notifications in the app settings
  3. Grant all necessary permissions for the app in Android system settings
  4. Place an order (market or limit)
  5. Wait for the order to be filled
  6. Observe that no push notification is received

Device Information:

  • Phone Model: Pixel 4A
  • Android Version: 14
  • dYdX App Version: 1.7.1

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Thanks for the feedback. Push notification is not yet available. It's on our roadmap for the second half of 2024.
