Installing on MacOS Big Sur 11.4

Hello, I'm fairly new to this however I've done lots of searching on the web in hopes of finding a solution but I am still struggling to get TauDEM installed onto my Mac (OS Big Sur 11.4). I have already compiled and installed OpenMPI and GDAL, and am working to understand how to compile the source code. I know that it has worked for a few others in the past, so if anyone has general guidance, it would really be a benefit.

I have already tried using cmake to generate makefiles in a build folder using both gcc and gcc-7, however when I go to make the files and install them it has errors.

I apologize if this is vague, and appreciate any help I can get to make this work.

See #198 where this was discussed by others. See also this file "TauDEM Mac Instructions" provided by another user. I am not a Mac user so have not been able to verify this, but hopefully it helps.
