That original Trixter PC takes up a lot of space and the monitor is small. I want to use this software on a different computer and monitor. But there's no installer, and Trixter is gone, so no download link. How do I get it onto my other computer? |

This answer has been derived from an installation of X-Dream 3.50.0.3 on a Windows 7 Trixter/Dell Optiplex 780. Screenshots are actually from Windows 10 on the same machine (with an SSD drive replacing the original) but the process is that same as for Windows 7. In summary:
Overview of the File SystemOn the X-Dream Dell PC, the Trixter folder is located in C:\Program Files. There are 3 folders in the Trixter folder, Backup, Live and Trixter Additional Apps. Getting the Software Off a Trixter/Dell PCIn summary:
An 8GB USB flash drive should suffice. The Trixter Software and Test Application
Windows won’t allow this; you’ll be prompted to create it on the desktop instead. Click Yes. Exporting the PostgreSQL DatabaseThis is not strictly necessary. If you don’t want to copy the user data, skip this step. The X-Dream software will simply create a blank database on the new system.
Copy the trixter zip file and the database backup file to a USB flash drive. Configuring a Different PCIn summary: Installing the X-Dream SoftwareOn the new system, unzip the zip file with the Trixter software. Navigate into the “Trixter Additional Apps” folder.
