  • I have searched for this issue previously and it was either (1) not previously reported, or (2) previously fixed and I am having the same problem.

Describe your issue

I am running RAD2 on BisectHosting as it has been recommended by the pack creators themselves. I am also talking with Bisect support but they have not been able to help resolve this issue so attempting here.

Server is 20GB RAM, located in Dallas. I have checked "I didn't added any mods" however I have added spark for troubleshooting, which I think should not affect performance. Number of players is 3-8. Server TPS deteriorates quickly after server restart and players logging in. There is nothing special happening in game as the TPS drops. TPS ranges between <15 and even <10. I will attach a few spark profiler reports if that is helpful.

I have attempted to adjust the View distance and simulation distance server properties down to 6 and that does not seem to have an impact. Based on the spark report it seems that the highest thread time is in the RADEnchants mod functions. I have attempted to disable parts of this mod in the server config however that did not seem to work or help. I have reinstalled the modpack once without improvement. The forth spark report suggests an issue with Infernal EXP.

Please, if there are any suggestions you can provide to help with this. We would love to play this mod.

hello, i am having the same issue with my Bi-sect hosting server, and my spark results are similar to yours, the discord server for RAD 2 said there is no known fix and it might have to do one of the mods but the mod or mods is unknown, I asked bi-sect for support and spent a few hours trying to fix it god bless them, but nothing changed, unfortunately we will have to wait until someone who knows what they are doing can fully dissect the modpack. also there is a good chance it happens in single player too, its just that in a server it multiplies the effect for each person causing the server ticks to be behind, lagging the server, so it may be an issue already embedded in the modpack which is unfortunate

We have had the same problem, GuardVillagers may or may not be the problem. We also added some perfomance mods (Performant and several others) which got the TPS back up to 18 with several (10 to 15) people.

Thanks for the replies, I will try the adaptive performance mod.
Things I've tried prior to this which have helped a little:
-Switched out Roadrunner for performant (because they are incompatible)
-Enabled Aikar's flags, just ticking the box in Bisect's Startup params
-Added many of the server performance mods from https://github.com/Radplay/ActuallyUsefulMods/blob/main/Performance/Performance116.md#forge-116x
(AI Improvements, Chunky, Krypton Reforged, Let Me Despawn, Saturn, Starlight x Create)
