Generating from constraint directive with pattern a custom type

Hi so I'm using graphql-constraint-directive
to deal with fields that enum values with dashes.
for example:

type Test {
   testFieldType: String @constraint(pattern: "^test-1|test-2|test-3$)
  }

and I want this field to map to the typescript type:
testFieldType: 'test-1' | 'test-2' | 'test-3'

currently, codegen resolved the type to string and ignored the directive.

how can I achieve this using the fact that I'm using the typescript plugin?
