Metheor tag produces SAM files

Hi,

First of all, thank you for the tool.
For me, meteor tag produces uncompressed SAM files and does not let me write to stdout, i.e., pipe the output to samtools.
Can I circumvent writing the files to disk and compressing them afterward?
