The project concept of removing bias from movie reviews is an interesting idea for the use of social and/or mobile technology, however I feel this concept idea is not original. The overall concept is far too similar to IMDB and Rotten Tomatoes.
It does sound like an interesting project concept, but I do not think that the concept is 100% relevant to the project brief or the problem space.
How will the user feedback and reviews relate to the movies ratings? Will it affect or boost the ratings of the movies? If the feedback and reviews do boost the ratings how will you ensure it remains unbiased?
To improve the project concept further I recommend that you develop your concept further and figure out what differentiates your concept from IMDB and Rotten Tomatoes rather than focus on the similarities.
