Ideas a good one. The skills needed in industry and what is taught in uni are often two different things. Bachelor of IT is a good example of this (likely like in journalism). I like having a place were experience about this can be shared and gained. What you propose could be done over Facebook etc however I think your concept actually becomes more preferable to use and thus would be sustainable. A big issue might be actually getting journalism companies etc on board with this. Im sure they will be open to it but I imagine there might be a lot of red tape, thus id recommend looking into that aspect as soon as possible.
