Gamecube ESP32 not syncing with my controller

Hello,

First of all thank you for the great work and for sharing it with our community DarthCloud, we are lucky to have people like you!

I ordered some ESP32 chips from ebay, they arrived and I tried one of them on my gamecube. The esp32 turns on with a steady red led but my Xbox x|s controller can not sync with it. I updated my controller's FW to the latest version but it still wont sync.

My gamecube already has a picoboot and it works perfectly fine, could that be the issue?
Also I used ehternet wires, could that be an issue?

I am out of options here please help me out
