Recommended roadmap process improvements:

  • The current high-level Dapr roadmap is out of date. Please review the current update cadence of the roadmap document to align with current releases.
  • The high-level roadmap only identifies singular technical enhancements or fixes and not WHY they are being included in a release. Please identify a way to articulate at a high-level why features are being included in a release.
  • Please review the Dapr website and repo to better showcase what is coming and WHY an adopter would want to adopt the new release.
  • The high-level Dapr roadmap is not easy to find from a user coming in via Dapr.io. Please review WHERE the roadmap can be more prominently accessed for an Adopter.
  • There is no identified roadmap change process for core Dapr or components. Please clearly document how, why and when a feature is added, or removed, from a release milestone.

Putting this issue in the docs repo for wider coverage than solely the community repo.

@angellk an overhaul has been made to the document via dapr/community#555, and the roadmap has been added to the main page of the Dapr docs
