As we push more users/schools/etc to check epubtest.org to see if a reading system is accessible, can we also provide links to Reading System specific AT documentation (ie RedShelf screenreader guide, etc) so accessibility services offices can share this info with students looking for help navigating the reading system and it's contents.

Do you think that one link field, presented along with the RS info, would be sufficient? Screenshot attached of a new item added to the testing environment info blurb which appears at the top of the testing environment results details page (example).

Would the link be the same every time the RS was used, e.g.

  • VitalSource + NVDA
  • VitalSource + Jaws
  • VitalSource + EcoBraille

Would all have the same "AT Help" link? Or is the link customized per testing environment, e.g. each combo in that list above might have its own link?

I think it's going to vary from one reading system to another, which makes it complicated. We may need to start by looking into how reading systems are posting the info?

That's a good idea. Then we can see what will be the best fit.
