Maybe just unsubscribe from currently subscribed to? Should lists have some notion of being "public" so that when outsiders log in they see eligible lists, but not all of them.

One possibility we kicked around is including an unsubscribe link that does not require login in the footer of messages sent to non-cyrus email addresses.
