Silvia is unmaintained, yes, but its keygen tool still works. (I updated that part a while ago.) The generate_keys.sh script is largely superseded, however. It places the keys at a wrong place in the directory structure, names them incorrectly, and it should generate keys larger than 1024 bits.
Whenever I have to generate keys, I usually just generate them manually (using irmatool as you say) and then place them in the directory structure myself.
In the generate_keys.sh script in the combined branch silvia_keygen is called. I remember that silvia was not up to date any more.
Can silvia-keygen from the silvia repositoty still be used or should the script be rewritten to use the irmatool cmd from the irmatool repository?
