Show how to detect if an asset can use setTransform()

I have some assets with Optimized images, and some without.

When I show an asset, I want to detect if I can use setTransform() or not.

            {% set imageUrl = asset.setTransform({ width: 50, height: 50 }) %}

            {% set imageUrl = asset.getUrl({ width: 50, height: 50 }) %}
          {% endif %}
          <img src="{{ imageUrl }}" alt="{{ asset.title }}">
          {{ asset.title }}
        </a>

If an asset has no transforms then this function returns a string of the asset file name so its not easy testing if transforms exists with a simple boolean.

I cant find any documentation about detection of Optimize images on an asset within a twig.

All assistance welcome.
