When working with rasters, it is common to encounter misaligned routers that require co-registration. I have developed a new registration algorithm for Xdem, which has proven to be quite effective. I believe that having this function available for rioxarray would be highly beneficial.

If you are also interested in this feature, I would be happy to discuss how we can incorporate it into rioxarray.
