The Computer Ethics Education Center offers materials and resources to teach undergraduate and graduate students in Computer Science and related disciplines about the social, ethical, and legal implications of computer technologies.

The materials on this website have been contributed by instructors and teaching assistants of the CS195 course (Social Implications of Computer Technology) offered by the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences (EECS) at the University of California, Berkeley. Building and viewing this website locally

If you want to build and view this website locally, please follow these steps:

1. Ensure that you have the latest version of Ruby installed on your computer.

2. Install Jekyll and Bundler.

3. Clone this repository to create a local copy on your computer.

4. Change your working directory to the root directory of your local copy.

5. Run bundle install.

6. Run bundle exec jekyll serve to build your site and preview it at localhost:4000.

The built site is stored in the directory _site.

Licensing and Attribution

The image on the front of the website is a rights-managed image, requiring a license to be reused. You can obtain a license for this image at the Science Photo Library.
