Issue with relationship direction on case #966
Comments
@bgm did you encounter this as well? |
Thanks @yashodha let us take a look. I think I recall this being an issue in our backlog but it needs a bit of work to fix. The issue is that existing clients will be configured for how it works currently and so to change it might be a bit tricky. We could perhaps add a setting to decide which direction of the relationships to use so existing clients could stay as they are but new clients could use the new direction? Is that something you could propose a user interface for and if agreed submit a PR? |
I am proposing 2 approaches for this. Either should do.
In our case, it definitely reads very wrong Main contact Is Attorney for Sid Rage when this is the other way round. I don't see how others/existing clients are reading it right. For consistency sake, I would propose to keep it the same.
Let me know your thoughts. |
The case roles configured on cases are:
On a case, in the tab People, the relationships are displayed in the wrong direction.
It is displayed:
But it should be:
as is correctly shown on the relationship tab.
The relationships are correct but the direction is wrong.
This is very confusing for the users.
