Collaboration not Competition! #1
Comments
@vykster Love this idea. Sent you a pull request with some events. |
Dope. Off the top of my head, seems like a good start would be to standardize event info and store as json instead of md. Tracking |

Perhaps something like this Markdown to JSON converter would be useful? |
@matikin9 I totally have that open because my GitHub feed said you starred it :) |

Hello civic tech friends --
I spend a lot of time sending one off emails encouraging folks to attend or submit to speak at conferences. Many of us are able to speak to topics that need to be shared, but the conference speaker list in our civic tech world is frequently the same few faces. I'm suggesting better collaboration and knowledge share of these events and to that end I'd like to build out a tiny app to track conferences, calls for submissions, and speakers in this space.
I'd like to diversify the faces, voices, sectors, and geographies represented at these events.
So far, I'm simply moving my google doc content into GitHub. Please help me with your thoughts to better scope a MVP. And/or if someone has built a tool already and I just need to do data entry for civic/gov tech let me know.
Best,
Vyki
