I have one ABNT version that shows parentheses at text citation. The version distribuited here isn't showing parentheses.

@jaldomir can you share your ABNT style Version for comparison, please?

I have the same problem with Office 365. All quotes are without parentheses.

  <stylename>ABNT NBR 6023:2002*</stylename>
  <version>2009.05.23</version>

With XSL being 10 years old, does Office 365 probably changed some way to compile the XSL, which caused this problem?

A user make a edition on code two years ago.
I think, deleting lines 154 155 was a mistake, and made the () desapears from citations (see code editing history)
I tried to put them back.
