Eventually, we will want to use our own servers for email instead of using Mandrill or whatever we are using. That will give us the ability to display emails in the homescreen as well as control content and options more easily.

Also, I am looking at getting a zen.mail or z.mail domain name. So we can create [email protected] emails for people.

Ok, unfortunately Google App Engine doesn't really have a way to send email from addresses other than those of admins and gmail users that are logged in, but I'll see what I can do.

Jack, I am setting up our own email servers. So we might end up being
able to send a http request to the server, and it will do all the rest.
Note: the server code will not be open source because of security concerns.

Ok, great, just curious, what are you using for the email server.

Probably mercury.

How much will this cost?

Mercury is free, we can just use our existing hosting until we generate enough revenue to rent/buy a server.

Is Codexa an API, because I did not like that they declined our request for custom emails.

Codexa is a start up that we just merged with. If you would like to have a Codexa email, please make an application to this email: [email protected].
