Advanced Cluster Security (ACS) has a managed service offering (ACSCS -- to learn more )

To test the scalability and performance of this managed service, we could reuse the hypershift wrapper to build each HC.

We would need to add some additional logic --

  1. Build the ACSCS ( ACS Central ) instance.
  2. Capture the certificates from the ACSCS instance
  3. Each Hosted Cluster (HC) will need to install ACS (day 2 operation)
  4. With each HC ACS install, we will need to provide the certificate we captured in step 2.

What metrics are we interested in?

  • Central overall utilization (memory, cpu, disk, network) - There might be database specific metrics we want to capture. We should work with the ACS development team.
  • Sensor utilization in each HC
  • Collector utilization in each HC
